Linux Gazette, a member of the Linux Documentation Project, is an on-line WWW publication dedicated to two simple ideas: making Linux just a little more fun and sharing ideas and discoveries.
- Linux Gazette WWW & FTP Mirror Sites: Translations of LG are included on the Mirror Page. If you have a web site or know of one with translations of LG into a language other than English, please let us know.
- Sponsors: Our sponsors make financial contributions toward the costs of publishing Linux Gazette. If you would like to become a sponsor of LG, e-mail us at . Linux Gazette is a non-commercial, freely available publication and will remain that way. Show your support by using the products of our sponsors and publisher.
- Announcement Service: If you wish to receive an e-mail announcement when each issue is published, subscribe to the lg-announce list at http://www.ssc.com/mailman/listinfo/lg-announce. If you don't have web access, write to with the word "help" in the message body. (Note: we do not send the Gazette itself via e-mail; it's too big.)
- Downloading Information: A gzipped tar file containing the current issue of Linux Gazette can be downloaded by clicking here and here for new base files. Our FTP site ftp://ftp.ssc.com/pub/lg/ now contains each issue after Issue 9 in its own gzipped tar file. Issues 1 through 8 are contained in one gzipped tar file. There is also a file, lg-base.tar.gz, which contains all the files common to more than one issue. A listing of the current file sizes and modification dates is here, if you wish to verify your copies contain the latest revisions.
